Selective Service Medal

The Selective Service Medal was issued for Service during World War 2, from December 7, 1941 until December 31 1946. It was awarded for “Exceptionally Meritorious Service or for “Significant Achievements”or “Inspiration to Others which contributed to the goals of the Selective Service System(Administration of Draft boards). Both civilian and military personnel were eligible for this award.

Reverse: “Awarded in the name of the Congress of the United States for faithful and loyal service
