Italy’s future Navy will consist of forty-four units plus many more auxiliary craft, according to a Foreign Ministers Council decision. They will not include any of the newer, larger battleships. The Italians, it was reported, will keep two battleships, four destroyers, sixteen torpedo boats, and nineteen corvettes, plus the auxiliaries, the Ministers decided.
A special Naval Committee of technicians was instructed to list ships for Yugoslavia and Greece. Afterwards, the Council will decide ownership of the surplus craft.
